With the liberalization and globalization of the economy, the field of supply chain management has seen tremendous developments. The industries are now exposed to international competition and they have realized that effective supply chain management holds the key for successful management of the business. Supply chains have evolved to become a prime value driver for business and this is enabled by technology, innovation, and talent management. All aspects of supply chain including product development, procurement, manufacturing, warehousing, distribution and logistics are getting redefined. Industry is in need of professionals in SCM who can drive the business for sustainability and growth in this competitive scenario.
We have realized this growing need of the industry for management education in the supply chain domain, since last few years. To facilitate the working executives to hone their professional skills in this field, and to contribute to development of the business and their self development, we have designed a 6-month part time autonomous week end program designed for the working executive. The program also caters to the needs of aspiring management students who desire to develop skills in this domain. Being an autonomous program, we have been able to adapt to the changes in the industry requirements and incorporate them in the course content. We encourage the students to understand the theoretical concepts and develop analytical skills and correlate the same with practical applications in industry and contribute to decision making. The program has been designed keeping the industry needs in view and is evolving dynamically with regular changes in the syllabus.
